2009 SAWG Workshop

...has come and gone, but the next workshop is on the way at
2010 SAWG Workshop

Once again, the Safety Analysis Working Group (SAWG) is presenting its annual Safety Analysis Workshop, which offers training, information exchange, and productive interactions among safety professionals in the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) community.  The workshop is the only national forum of its type.  It convenes policy makers, line managers, analysts, trainers, prominent safety specialists, and approvers of DOE safety basis-related activities, application and documentation.  Through lively discussions and presentations, the workshop generates a stream of new ideas for strengthening and advancing safety in the energy and nuclear industries.

This is SAWG’s 19th annual workshop.  It is being hosted by National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec) and will be held at Sam’s Town Hotel in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.   Our theme for the 2009 Safety Analysis Workshop is “Integrating Safety into Design.”  It focuses on the issues related to integrating DOE-STD-1189 into daily activities within the nuclear industry.
