We cordially invite you to join us for the 19h Annual Safety Analysis Workshop to be held May 8 – 14, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec) is hosting the workshop for the Safety Analysis Working Group (SAWG) of the Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG).
Within the Department of Energy community we share in the challenges related to safety, resources, training, and education, which are stimulating topics for discussion and debate. We encourage you to take advantage of this professional development opportunity and the sights and activities offered in Las Vegas. Facility Contractors Group
The EFCOG is a self-directed group of Management and Operating (M&O) contractors, Management and Integrating (M&I) contractors, and Environmental Restoration Management contractors (ERMC) of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. The purpose of EFCOG is to promote excellence in all aspects of operation and management of DOE facilities in a safe, environmentally sound, efficient and cost-effective manner through the exchange of information.
Safety Analysis
Working Group
The SAWG promotes safe, environmentally sound, efficient and cost-effective operation and management of DOE facilities through the exchange of information. The group accomplishes its objectives by promoting:
- excellence in the DOE M&O/M&I and ERMC Safety Analysis Programs
- exchange of successful safety analysis programs, practices, procedures, and lessons learned
- training on safety analysis through workshops, subgroups, and seminars.

NSTec manages operations at the Nevada Test Site and its related facilities and laboratories for the
Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Nevada Site Office. NSTec teams with
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories on many
programs. NSTec also works on projects for other federal agencies such as the Defense Threat Reduction Agency,
NASA, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and the U.S. Air Force, Army, and Navy. Our missions include Defense
Experimentation and Stockpile Stewardship, Homeland Security and Defense Applications, and Environmental Management.
More than two-thirds of NSTec's employees work in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, or at the Nevada Test Site (located
